SPC's main advantage is high water resistance. One condition is essential: the subfloor must be very, very flat. On a flat floor SPC lasts for years; on an uneven one the click joints work under stress and may crack – so we level first, or choose quality laminate.
We recommend thicker boards: a thicker board means a bigger, stronger click. And "water resistant" is not "flood proof" – clean with a damp cloth.
